Lone Oak RV Ranch and Retreat in Gainesville, TX

I stayed in the RV park, while visiting family in the area. The park is kept clean, it is very quiet and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am planning on there again and have time to check out more of the facility.

We took advantage of the day pass and brought a group of teenagers. They enjoyed swimming as well as playing volleyball and basketball. We plan to come again to enjoy more outdoor fun. Thanks again to the friendly staff for making us feel welcome!

I arrived after normal check-in hours. It was easy to find my spot and hook up without trouble. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. There was a youth conference going on at the same time, they invited us to their church service. We were only there a couple of days but it felt like we were part of a caring neighborhood.

We recently traveled North of DFW in search of dark skies for the annual Perseid meteor shower. And luckily this place did deliver, especially for my 7.5 year old. We were graced with very dark skies and over 2 dozen shooting stars. Memories of a lifetime with my son. *Easy to book- easy check-in/check out (way easier than Air BNB tbh) and beats trying to find an empty field on the side of the road to see stars. *Super clean bathroom, tub, fixtures, nice & plenty of towels. And fantastic water pressure, better than at home. *Beds, I think were super comfortable, was too busy sleeping to notice. *stayed in the themed Heroes & Sidekicks room, think Lone Ranger and Tonto. My son was thrilled to wear his coonskin cap and cowboy boots the entire time and we traveled around the ranch to get some fun and hilarious photos from various spots. We love a good theme. *we went swimming and the pool was very nice. Good depth, good temp, not overwhelming chlorine smell. We brought our own towels for that, hop skip and a jump right back to our room. *no fridge in our room, (hotel), but we grabbed a pizza nearby in Tioga, and had a cooler. Also noticed a 24 laundry & vending area on property. *we got a little grab and go cereal and baked goods from the cafe in the morning, very handy. *no TV but solid wi-fi. We actually enjoyed the drive up from North Dallas, saw longhorns, horses, cows etc. My son exclaimed: "the country is just RIGHT HERE!" I was actually shocked there weren't more creepy crawlies or mosquitoes. Didn't get bit up while swimming or star gazing- I'm guessing the boots helped! We visited the nearby zoo in the morning and that topped off a fabulous 24 hours at the Lone Oak Ranch.

We had the BEST time at Lone Oak Ranch! We loved the rustic setting, gathering places, roomy lodging, open spaces for the kids to run, huge ballroom, kitchen and bar. Buddy and his team were accessible 24/7, great communicators, kind, fun, knowledgeable. We stayed in the Goodnight House, so authentic, during the reunion, which was perfect for us. Thank you for helping us make lasting memories.

We were in a small tear drop camper. They put us really close to a building on the property by the cabins, to be near the shower and restroom. Everything was clean. The staff and owner were nice and made sure we were in a good spot. Wish we could have stayed longer to swim and visit the place.

We had a family reunion and it had plenty of room and things to do.

We had a large family reunion here and it was really lovely. The rooms are nice and large, with cute decor. We will absolutely be back next year!
