Lone Oak RV Ranch and Retreat near Gainesville, TX
Pull off FM 372 and the traffic noise disappears. Among the RV parks near Gainesville, Texas, this one puts 100-plus acres of North Texas ranch land right outside your door while keeping downtown Gainesville, the Medal of Honor Host City, about 15 minutes up the road. You can spend the morning casting into one of our four stocked ponds and still make lunch at a cafe on California Street.
Sites come with 30 and 50 amp hookups, and there's space to actually open your awning without checking on your neighbor's slide-out. Primitive RV sites work great if you'd rather keep things quiet, and if you're traveling with folks who don't tow, we've got motel rooms and summer camp style cabins too. Bring the horse trailer: the stall barn and outdoor equine pens are ready, with a covered artificial turf area for working out the kinks after a long haul.
Between trips into town, guests fill their days here. There's the swimming pool, the pickleball court, a wooded hiking trail, an animal farm the kids talk about all the way home, and a dog park for the four-legged crew. We were in a small tear drop camper. They put us really close to a building on the property by the cabins, to be near the shower and restroom. Everything was clean. The staff and owner were nice and made sure we were in a good spot. Wish we could have stayed longer to swim and visit the place.

There’s a sense of excitement and possibility in the air, like this is a place that’s going to grow into something really special over time. And I have to talk about the pizza… Chef David made what might honestly be the best crust I’ve ever had. It was so flavorful and perfectly done that it stood out all by itself. I left feeling hopeful and excited to see what Lone Oak Retreat becomes in the years ahead. If you enjoy discovering places with heart, good people, and a relaxed atmosphere, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

During our year-and-a-month-long stay, my two kids and I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from the staff and management. The ranch boasts breathtaking views and an array of amenities, including an in-ground pool, animal zoo area, laundry room, walking trails, and a western-style chapel, etc. Rv park my kids enjoyed playing with other children in Rv park and made amazing friends there. I am going to miss this ranch so much as my kids and I have now moved from this refreshing moment to breath Ranch at Lone Oak Ranch & Retreat.

Lone Oak turned out to be the perfect spot, matching all our expectations. including an affordable price (which is not always the case with other ranches). We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and had the chance to chat with Brian the owner of the place, who was just as kind and welcoming.
The breakfast, the pool, the typical cowboy/western décor, all set in a calm and green environment, made our stay truly enjoyable. A special mention for the farm with animals -especially the cute kittens!
This place is a must-visit, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.
